On July 5th 2013 we finally started our 3rd Capability Program. Our first module took place at the HUB in Zürich with 7 participants from Switzerland and Germany.

After the participants and the BOOKBRIDGE team had the chance to get to know each other, the team began to develop a vision for the new learning center in Ang Tasom, Cambodia: Next to the set-up of a learning infrastructure the team will focus on the development of an educational programme, that provides better future possibilities for young adults. Therefore they will develop a business model, that creates sustainable social impact and allows the learning center to operate financially self-sustainable. To reach this goal our participants will follow an integrative development process, that involves the community, the ministry of education youth and sports and the Cambodia scouts to foster local ownership and community building.

The BOKBRIDGE team will co-develop the new learning center and will support the team whereever it is needed. In the end all stakeholders shall benefit: Ang Tasom- with a new learning center, where people learn from and with each other; BOOKBRIDGE- who invests with the program in its own organisational development and the participants- who will learn how to create a business model and strategy in an unkown and challenging context, how to lead a complex project within a multi-stakeholder approach and how to collaborate within highly diverse teams.

Next to the learning take aways, we foster the personal development of our participants: To transform the experiences in their daily business lives, Heike Rudolph v. Rohr enriches our program with her sound expertise in leadership development.

We wish all participants a great learning experience, lot´s of fun and a successful Capability Program 2013!
