This year´s Reunion of the UK Scouts took part at Gilwell Park this weekend. BOOKBRIDGE took part via the 2nd East London Scout Group.
Reunion is a yearly held event by the UK Scouts that allows adults and Scout Network members to come together for a weekend. It is now in its 87th year and has run since 1921 every year (except for four years during the Second World War) and is a gathering of around 2,000 adults within Scouting. Reunion 2013 took place at Gilwell Park Scout Activity Centre on 6 – 8 September.
The 2nd East London Scout Group has been supporting BOOKBRIDGE with many activities during the last years. Next to several huge book sorting events they try to tell about our work on different occasions. On the big UK Scouts Renunion, they organized an info booth to inform scouts about the vision and work of BOOKBRIDGE.
Vicky Thompson, Kay Legett and many other scouts from their scout group did a great job in spreading the word about educational equality and BOOKBRIDGE. We are very grateful for their support and enthusiastic engagement!
