During module 2 of our IAP1 program in Cambodia, participants were trained about finances, marketing and sales for the new learning center in Kampong Thom.

Day 1 focused on accounting. The goal was to provide accounting concepts for the future community hero. Sokhan Khut, country manager of BOOKBRIDGE Cambodia, introduced the participants to financial and operational records for the learning center to monitor expenses, investments and incomes. On the second day, Mr. Vuthi, a marketing expert from mrts consulting presented marketing and sales basics such as daily marketing decisions and long-term strategic decisions, various methods of collecting data for marketing activities and marketing planning and the benefits of models like 7Ps and SWOT.

The sale course was taught by Dr. Tov Meng on day 3. Participants discussed the concepts of marketing evolution and marketing mix evolution. Marketing Evolution focuses on product, customer, spiritual value and e-commeree whereas the Marketing Mix Evolution contains the 4Ps (product, pricing, promotion, and place), the 7Ps (product, pricing, promotion, place, people, process and physical evidence) and the 8Ps (product, pricing, promotion, place, people, process, physical evidence and philosophy). Participants also learned about the 3 to 9 sales concept containing the topics preparation, persistence and professional.

An essential part of the module was the call between the Cambodian participants and the European team on the vision and mission of the new learning center. As the location for the learning center was grabbed by Chinese investors, the local team will start to search for alternative options. Also, subteams were created for module 3 consisting of both Cambodian and European candidates. The module was a great success, a big thank you to all participants!
