Earlier this year, our country manager Amar (Mongolia) and Sokhan (Cambodia) together with Lisa (project management) recruited the new fellows. Kathrin Petrick, Cony Fiedler and Malin Klinski were chosen to be the new BOOKBRIDGE fellows for our learning centers in Mongolia and Cambodia and they are now ready to start!
Kathrin and Cony will be staying in Mongolia for 6 months to support our staff at the learning centers. They left Germany at the end of July taking the trans-siberian railway to Ulanbator. They write about their adventurous trip in the blog NachOstenUndWeiter.
On August 12, Amar will pick them up at the train station in Ulanbator. Here, they will spend a week and also take the time to explore the country more before they head towards their final destinations in Mongolia – Zuunkhara and Murun – where they support the local teams. Together with the Heads of Learning Centers, Kathrin and Cony will define goals for their 6-months stay in Mongolia.
Malin just came back from a trip across Europe and is now getting ready for her 6-months stay in Cambodia. She will leave for Cambodia on Friday and will volunteer at the learning center in Ang Tasom. Her main focus will be offering free activities that still need to be improved in Ang Tasom.
We are very grateful for Cony`s, Kathrin`s and Malin`s commitment and we can`t wait to hear their first news as BOOKBRIDGE Fellows!
